How can investors and consumers tell whether companies are doing the right thing by the environment or “greenwashing” their images to make it seem like they’re doing the right thing? Magali Delmas, a professor of management at the UCLA Institute of the Environment and UCLA Anderson School of Management, is director of the UCLA Center for Corporate Environmental Performance. Ashley Verhines, an undergraduate research assistant at the institute, interviewed Delmas about her research on corporate responsibility and the environment.
