White House Budget Proposes Sweeping Cuts To EPA, Environmental Programs

The White House proposed steep, sweeping cuts to the federal climate change initiatives, including axing the Environmental Protection Agency budget by 31 percent.

The preliminary skinny budget, released at 7 a.m. on Thursday, reduces the EPA funding by $2.6 billion to $5.7 billion.
