Women are most affected by climate change, but too often excluded from the discussion

Carolyn Maloney International women’s day is a time to celebrate women’s achievements, but it’s also a good time to draw attention to problems too often overlooked by policymakers and begin discussing constructive solutions. As a member of the Congressional Safe Climate Caucus, I am struck by the disproportionate toll environmental destruction driven by climate change exacts from women.
